PICABU NEIGHBORHOOD BISTRO
An unusually smaller menu than you might be used to from your typical dining experiences, but trust us that it's the most complete assortment you'll ever need. With so many new and unique items such as their Cactus Burger to get you going on the right path. However, the Chicken and Corn Pot Stickers are also a great hit amongst the many options here with the locals and tourists alike. However, as sometime happens when we return to our favorite dining spots such as the Picabu Neighborhood Bistro, we were saddened to find out that in late 2018 they had closed their doors for good. It's amazing to think that the South Hill restaurant had been opened for over a decade, as they originally opened up for customers back in 2005. This popular tucked-away spot was a true hidden gem that we only shared with our favorite people. No other places even came close to classic dishes such as their Fire Pasta, Curry Bowl, Shrimp Phad Thai and our already mentioned Cactus Burger which is without question the Top 10 Burger in the USA. One amazing aspect we loved about this spot is that you were able to purchase a cookbook which contained all of their popular menu items. Thanks to owner and chef Jane Edwards whom had this brilliant idea. After nearly 15 years of service, she was proud to have served customers with delicious meals and to have brightened their days just a bit each time. It's places such as this that truly make American great and showcase what true love and passion for cooking can create in a community. We can only hope that another establishment can take up the mantle and keep this tradition going. You will be missed!
