While the San Diego area may be full of cafe spots.. this is easily one of our very favorites. Nutmeg is an artisan bakery and cafe location that has lines out the door often for a reason. They specialize in organic, local and sustainable ingredients to create their delicious sweet and food selections. It's really a spot which you'll need to visit multiple times to explore the full range of flavors here. It's all about responsible food that is delicious - it will change your mind regardless. Daily items are prepared fresh each morning in-house to ensure nothing but the best. The fresh baked aroma will seduce you at first sniff. Opened up their doors in 2012 and haven't looked back since. Popular for it's brunch options, but we generally stop by anytime and are always fully satisfied. You'll love the entire menu but keep an eye out for this signature Capri Panini Sandwich, Cobb Wrap, Nutmeg Scramble, Bombay Sandwich, Lavender Mocha, Cinnamon Rolls, Hot Chocolate, Avocado Toast, Almond Croissant and much more.
