Some of the best Italian and Mediterranean dishes that you'll ever come across when you visit the famed Mediterraneo Caffe in Providence, Rhode Island. Mediterraneo Caffe is one place we've visited several times in the last few years and will continue to make it one of our regular spots for many more to come. Be sure to tell Chef Calise that we sent you when you arrive. When you make your visit, do consider some specialties such as their amazingly delicious Baby Neck Clams, Spaghetti a la Vongole or the Chicken Piccata that truly sets the pace. Once again however, we are forced to bring you bad news that this spot had closed their doors back in 2015. Reasons are not known but they will be missed, very much so. Food, service and prices were always phenomenal. So much else that was delicious here included their Omelet station for Brunch, the Honey Pork, Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina, Caprese Salad, Cheesecake options, Cannolis, Chicken Masala and of course their Lobster Ravioli. Top notch spot.
