Essentially in a nut-shell, the Heaven Restaurant & Market is 100% Gluten Free and Vegetarian spot that has shined for many years in the city of Calgary. It's without doubt one of our favorite areas for Artisan-made Gluten Free foods. Plus, it's much more as it is based in a Latin cuisine specifically, Venezuelan. Opened for over a decade starting back in 2012, they continue their mark as the only true 100% gluten free spot in Calgary. The dishes are all well thought out, tasty and more importantly fit the needs of so many that often have a difficult time. Run by Patricia Capuzzi and Marco Scagliati whom were both born in Venezuela and moved to Canada for a better life and opportunity to reach their dreams. If you're not gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian or the sorts - please come either way as the food is truly amazing, delicious and you would most likely have no idea about it's roots. Besides, who doesn't love a good Venezuelan dish? Some amazing choices here which rotate often, but some standout in our minds are the Yuca Fries, Chorizo Arepas, Chocolate Cake, Gluten-free Chicken and Waffles, Pabellon Criollo or even their sampler appetizer which has a good assortment of starters. Check these folks out when in Alberta, well worth the price and visit.
