One of the newest spots we're happy to recommend in our travel guide, and for the first time in a long time one that has the James Beard Semifinalist on it's track record. Since 2001, this spot is a hot bead for some amazing and traditional Indonesian Cuisine. Opened up by Ena & Harry Widjojo, their original aim was to cater to the local migrants, however the demand and popular grew quickly where it became a local hot spot for everyone. In recent years, daughters Diana and Maylia have taken over running the restaurant and continue with the strong tradition with which is started. Plates and portions here are huge and extremely fairly priced. Simply put, the food here is all absolutely delicious. Flavorful and filling as far as we're concerned and you'll always leave satisfied as well. Indonesian food is some of the best the world has to offer, so having the convenient chance to enjoy it in the heart of Philly is something you cannot pass up. It's so good that you'll be tempted to visit overseas, which is always a great experience as well. There are plenty of meat combination plates to choose from and they cater to vegan or gluten free customers as well. Great place for family, kids or dates. You'll be blown away by the kind and hospitable service, we always are.
