Harold Groetsema, or whom we like to refer to his earned nickname of "Barbecue King of Alaska", turned his passion and hobby of perfecting BBQ in to one of the best joints not just in the state, but Nation! When he opened up Big Daddy's BarB-Q and Banquet Hall, he had a dream to give authentic and traditional BBQ to his customers and he's done that ever since. He's perfected the craft and has won several awards to solidify is expertise in the industry. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable here, which is what you need to truly enjoy and finger licking meal. Let's not forget about the great assortment of drinks served from the bar that help you truly enjoy the flavors that much more. Service is always friendly and helpful but more importantly, attentive! Plenty of original BBQ sauces to try as well, so there's a perfect fit for everyone. We highly recommend everything on the menu, including traditional favorites such as Rib Tips, Burnt Ends, Chicken, Ribs and much more. When in Alaska, this is perhaps the best BBQ around - don't pass it up!
