Locations Guy Fieri visits in the USA - Places to eat comfort home-style, healthy, gourmet & fast food meals!
Nearing its 70 years of un-matched service, this Jewish influenced cuisine has been putting out great meals since they opened their doors so many years ago. If you want a true kosher experience, this is the place to be. Order or take-out their many staples which include the delicious Cabbage Rolls, Kreplachs or traditional Boiled Chicken Soup specialty that is the perfect meal no matter the time. This longtime deli has held the reigns for many generations and continues to do so in the Rego Park area. Since 1945, many many years ago, they've served everything freshly prepared, made to order, and creating happy customers each and every day. The same techniques and traditions are used since they opened up their doors, including the 21 day dry cure for their signature Corned Beef. The slow smoke is the final touch of perfection which makes this the best sandwich shop in the neighborhood. However, based on rumors coming out at the end of 2018, this spot may have closed their doors for good and the owners entered their well earned retirement phase. If this is the case, we wish them all the best in the years they have remaining! Without question, this place is one of the most iconic spots in the borough. One of the most memorable aspects when visiting Ben's Best Kosher Delicatessen is the one and only, Ben's Challenge. This is essentially a 1lb meat sandwich with their soup, fries, coleslaw and of course kosher pickle! Get it down in under an hour, and you're crowned the champion! Ben's will surely be missed and it's unfortunate that suitable replacements no longer fill these shoes.
