Italian is what this famous diner is all about and duplicating the classical and authentic flavors that come from the homeland is what they do so right. We think that the homemade Fettuccine is fantastic along with the many different made-from-scratch Italian style Sandwiches that are great to eat in or take out as well. Often time, our very most favorite stye of diners are those whom still follow the counter service method.. always a good start and sign of good (yummy) things to come. The Bakery Cafe is surely a huge local hot spot and not just for the amazing freshly baked and prepared goods, but the unmatched service that is one of a kind here. The charm and hospitality here is really remarkable and something all other cafes should learn from. But, once again we must share the sad news about these amazing places.. Savarino's Cucina have closed their doors for the final time. On April 29, back in 2017 Corrado and Maria Savarino have hung up the aprons and entered the life of a well earned retirement. To be quite honest, the Hillsboro Village neighborhood will never quite be the same. We were in Nashville just a few weeks ago were saddened when we were reminded that we couldn't visit for a quick lunch. The Gelato here was made from scratch and if you have ever visited Italy in the past, you would think you were there. So many delicious and fresh flavors, it was the perfect dessert on it's own are following a wonderful brunch. These folks will be missed, dearly.
