When driving through the state of NJ, you must make a pit stop where most of the locals eat at regularly. We were so impressed, we ranked it on our 'best of' list recently. Of course, the must have here is the one and only, Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich or the Tri-Color Pasta with Chicken delicacy. In our honest foodie opinions, Johnny Prince's Bayway Diner is an amazing, authentic style diner that even includes the booth-&-counter aspects. We have to use the term old-school, no better term can describe this spot as clearly. As old-school diners come, these folks stay to tradition and serve only breakfast and lunch options. The menu is jam packed with American fare type stuff here that you will be quite familiar with. The difference with this spot however is that they make it all from scratch using homemade techniques and traditions. In the Linden area, Johnny Prince's Bayway Diner is without question the landmark diner to visit and all locals will happily send you in their direction. The service here is always excellent and very friendly from start to finish. You will never be rushed here, so take your time and enjoy your meal at any time you visit. So again, the food here is the reason you're coming and whether it's the Chili on their Fries or Hot Dogs, Cheeseburgers that have oozing greasy cheese, massive Breakfast Sampler Platter, or the fresh homemade Soups of the day.. you'll love it all.
